Slag Pot

Slag is a by-product of all iron and steel production processes. Slag is typically comprised of metallic oxides but may contain metal sulfides. Slag is used to capture waste within metal melting processes but is also utilized in temperature control and minimizing re-oxidation of liquid metal. The slag pot collects the molten slag from any point in the production of any liquid metal.

Typically, products used to protect slag pots are Pot Coat, Pot Coat A, and Slurry Coat A.
