United Refractories

In May 2008, Resco completed the purchase of United Refractories.  United manufactures clay-alumina monolithic refractories, including castables, gunning mixes, shotcrete products, mortars and slurries, and produces pre-cast shapes for a wide range of uses in the steel industry. United also supplies ceramic welding services to coke ovens and the glass industry as well as contract services to key customers in the steel industry.  United has plants in Warren, OH and Moulton, AL.
